What does a cinch EV service include?
A full EV service from cinch costs £149 inc. VAT. This includes:
Cabin filter change
Top-up screenwash (if required)
Top-up battery coolant and power steering fluid (if required)
Battery test to confirm its condition
Full diagnostic scan of the car
43-point check (full list below)
Additional EV service items
Some electric cars have additional parts that need servicing, which manufacturers include in the service schedule:
Change the inverter fluid
Change the brake fluid
If your EV is one of these and you choose to have the work done, it will cost an additional £50 – meaning the total price for your service will be £199, inc. VAT.
In detail: what every cinch EV service includes
On top of the main servicing work, we’ll perform a 43-point check of your electric car as part of your full EV service.
EV servicing work
Replace the cabin filter with a new one and clean the filter housing
Reset all tyre pressures (to the manufacturer's standard)
Reset all wheel nuts (to the manufacturer's torque requirements)
Top-up windscreen washer fluid (if required)
Top-up the battery coolant (if required)
Top-up power steering fluid (if required)
Reset the service light or service counter
Stamp the service book or update your digital service record
Interior checks
Brake operation through the pedal
Operation of the parking brake and adjust or lubricate (if required)
Operation of the steering controls
The horn is functioning correctly
Operation of interior lights
Condition and operation of the driver mirrors (rear-view and external door mirrors)
Operation of the air-con
Perform a diagnostic scan of the vehicle and report any faults highlighted in any system
Seatbelts on all seats (including lap belts)
Operation of all external locks and handles
Exterior checks
Bodywork for any visible damage
Brake fluid condition and report if a brake fluid change is recommended (considering the current mileage of the vehicle)
Wheels and wheel trims for damage
Operation of the exterior lights
Condition of the wheel hubs and bearings
Tyre size and tyre specification
Tyre condition and tread depths on all tyres (including the spare wheel, if present)
Windscreen wiper condition and operation (to ensure they clean the screen correctly)
Rear screen wiper condition and operation (if fitted)
Screen washer operation
Headlight washer operation (if fitted)
Windscreen for chips and cracks
Condition of the number plate
Check the operation of the number plate lights
High-voltage battery checks
Perform a high-voltage battery test using AVILOO Battery Diagnostics technology and provide a report on the battery condition
Condition and security of the radiator and cooling fans
All seals on the radiator and coolant caps
Coolant hoses for leaks, security and condition
Condition of the battery housing and visible components
Condition and security of high-voltage power leads

Condition and security of the undertray (if fitted to the vehicle)

Drive shaft gaiters for security and leaks
Transfer box and differentials for leaks

We’ll chat through your recent experiences with the car, including anything specific you’d like us to look at
Step 3: The service
During the service you’re welcome to wait on our comfy sofas and enjoy a free coffee, or go and come back. After the service, we’ll take payment and talk to you about any additional work we feel might be needed
Step 4: Additional work
If we advise your car needs more work we’ll be fully transparent with the costs - both parts and labour. It’s your call what to do next, no pressure from us to do any extra work with us
